- On Wednesday, you implement Day 3 of Dialogic Reading. Again, you can remind the children that they have read and discussed this book, and now you are going to talk about some more of the illustrations.
- During Day 3, you ask the same types of questions that you asked on Tuesday (Day 2).
- You might also incorporate some recall questions, (e.g., “Remember, we talked about this picture yesterday, what is this?”).
- You continue asking the children “Wh” questions (e.g., Who, What, Where), both individually and chorally, to ensure that the children are learning the vocabulary.
- If the children do not know the vocabulary in the book, it will make it more difficult for them to expand on it in the next steps.
- Give the children ample practice with labeling and finding out the function, color or shape of objects before moving on to the next day.
