Questions to Ask

Establishing good communication with families will help you to get a more accurate idea about their children. It is always important to ask yourself:

  • What do I know about the children’s families?
  • What are some of their distinctive experiences?

The more you know about a child, the better prepared you will be to plan appropriate experiences. Collecting information about your children who are English language learners will help you understand their strengths and needs.  The following printable document provides you with a resource for gathering information about your children who are English language learners.
