Description and Organization of the Course

As you proceed through the sections, there will be icons that signal opportunities for you to interact with the content as you read along.
 

Objectives Objectives - This icon will cue you to the objectives for each section.
   
Video  Video - Video clips are used in several different ways to support the course. Directions will indicate to click on the icon and begin the video clip. When the clip is over, return to the text to continue the course. You can view the clips as many times as you would like. 
   
Moving On Moving On - This icon appears at the end of each section to direct you to continue with the course by proceeding to the next section.
   
Let's Reflect Let's Reflect - During these brief sections, questions will be posed for you to think about regarding what you have just learned before you continue to the next topic.
   
Activity Activity - Periodically throughout the course there are opportunities for you to complete an activity utilizing the information you have been learning. Some of these activities can be printed out for you to use later in your classroom.
   
Key Points Key Points - These statements provide a summary of what you may have read or seen to ensure that the main point is understood.
   
Demonstration Lessons Demonstration Lessons - Dr. Argüelles provides demonstration lessons for the instructional strategies she referenced in the course.
   
Strategies Strategies in Action - Following the demonstration lessons, there are suggested ways that you can use these strategies in your classroom.
   
  Glossary - Throughout the text there will be words that have links to their definition. All of these words are available as a printable document at the end of this course.
