Provider Agreement

Based on the information in your VPK application and supporting documentation, the coalition will determine if your facility is eligible to provide VPK services. As part of the approval process you are required to sign a Statewide Provider Agreement. This agreement outlines your legal and financial responsibilities to both AWI and the local coalition.
Section 1002.67(3)(a), F.S., requires that "Each early learning coalition shall verify that each private prekindergarten provider delivering the Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program within the coalition's county or multi-county region complies with this part. Each district school board shall verify that each public school delivering the program within the district complies with this part." If the provider, private or public, fails or refuses to comply with the requirements, then AWI or DOE, respectively, must remove the school from eligibility to deliver a VPK program.
In addition, section 411.01(4)(l), F.S., requires AWI to monitor and evaluate the performance of each early learning coalition in administering the VPK program.
Let’s take a look at the provider agreement in more detail.
