VPK Policies and Procedures

Introduction

As you remember, AWI has responsibility for the development of the policies and procedures related to VPK. In this unit you will locate the current policies and procedures on the AWI website. In addition, you will review copies of the VPK applications and forms required to participate in the program.

Directors usually are responsible for the development of a budget, facility policies, and marketing plans. As part of this unit you will explore the state funding mechanisms related to VPK; these will assist you as you create the budget for your program.

Section Objectives
In this section you will

• review the role of parents in the VPK program and registration process
• review the state funding of VPK programs
• hear suggestions from current VPK providers
• consider what is required to maintain a high quality program.
