Domain-Specific Curricula and the VPK Application

As you complete AWI's VPK Education Program Statewide Provider Registration Application (Form AWI-VPK 10), Section V, "Curriculum Information," you will be asked to identify curricula that meet each of the eight domains identified in the Florida VPK Education Standards.

The first parts of the Form AWI-VPK 10, Sections I and II, are for provider contact and licensing information. Sections III and IV are for providers to indicate their accreditation status. Section V is the section where providers enter information on their chosen curricula to address the VPK Education Standards. It is possible to use more than one curriculum to address the eight domains.A curriculum could address all eight domains or it could address Physical Health, Approaches to Learning, Social and Emotional Development, Language and Communication, and Emergent Literacy. The provider would then identify another curriculum to address Mathematical and Scientific Thinking, Social Studies and The Arts, and Motor Development.

Current Forms for VPK, including the Form AWI-VPK10, can be found on AWI's website under VPK Forms.

Remember-one curriculum may meet all of the domains.
