State Funding of VPK (cont.)

To determine the payment/reimbursement rate for this VPK classroom you would follow the steps below:

1. Multiply the Base Student Allocation (BSA) by the District Cost Differential (DCD) to determine the full-time equivalent (FTE) per child.
2. Divide the FTE amount by the number of instructional program hours to get an hourly rate per child.
3. Multiply the number of instructional hours per day by the total number of payable VPK instructiondays in the month to get the total number of payable hours in the month.
4. Multiply the payable hours by the hourly rate to get the total monthly amount payable per child.
5. Finally, multiply the total monthly amount per child by the total number of enrolled children to get the final payable amount for the month.
