While viewing the text, think about the mission and goals of your program. Do they align with the intent of those listed in the Constitution? What kinds of changes, if any, do you need to make so that you can meet the intent of Florida’s VPK Education Program?

By preparing children for kindergarten, VPK can also build a strong foundation for continued educational success. This program, with its strong emphasis on emergent literacy, will contribute toward attainment of one of Florida’s major educational goals: to have all children reading on grade level by the end of third grade.
