Moving On...

While phonological awareness and letter recognition are the two strongest predictors of future success in learning to read, the ability to think about stories read aloud is also essential to a strong foundation for beginning reading. In the next section you will learn more about listening comprehension and how you can build children’s skills in understanding stories and books read to them.
